PPO's, pets, threats, and coercion

It may sound strange, but it is now possible for a court to order that a person can not use an animal, or a pet, and the possession or threat of harming it as manipulation in a dispute. This does come up on occasion in real people’s lives. Sometimes dogs or cats are left as a bartering chip and it can be difficult for people. If someone is using a pet to manipulate you, then you may want to consider a PPO.
